Looking back at my preliminary task, I feel I have learnt the following:
1. I have learned how to properly create a magazine front cover, with professional looking quality to it.
2. I have learned How one would properly Construct a double page article, this was not required in the preliminary task, and as such, is why i have learnt it since then.
3. Finally, i have learnt how to create a very proffessional looking contents page.
Many of the issues i had with the preliminary task, that i have developed from, were due to image placement, i had some issues with placing images in the correct places and also having good quality images.
I have also Progressed in my abilities in Adobe inDesign since my prelim task, this has helped make it easier to create my magazine pages, whilst avoiding unpleasant formatting issues, and helping create a more efficient creation system.
I have also acquired the knowledge of what connotes a magazine as a music magazine, this would be useful if i were to go into the magazine business, as it would allow me to be in a section of the market that i enjoy, and thus, make it easier for me to work.

Evaluation Q.6
Throughout the process of developing my magazine, I have learnt very few techniques, as I spend much of my time on the computer making documents.
However, I have learned a few ways of combining techniques to create a good looking outcome.
Through the project i used many programs, Adobe photoshop and inDesign, Blogger, Prezi, Powerpoint and Slidrocket
Before this project, I had not used Prezi or Sliderocket, but i have managed to get a grasp of these programs relatively quickly, they are comfortable programs to use, and would definitely use them again.
one of the things I learned whilst doing both this and the preliminary task, was how to move text behind someones head in a photograph, without messing with the background scenery. this is achieved through some fiddling around with layers and filters in photoshop, and takes about half an hour to accomplish.

Evaluation Q.3
In the uk at the moment, there are many media companies around. The main media institutes in the
UK at the moment are Bauer media, Earst, and Future publications.

Personally,
I would like my magazine to be published by Future Media, this is due
to the fact they
already
have a successful metal magazine around, called Metal Hammer, So they
could include the
first
one maybe as a free gift in Metal Hammer.
Metal
Hammer is aimed at a similar target audience to my magazine, although
it is aimed at an
older
age group.
In
my magazine I would also include some advertisements from related
products, such as Drop
Dead
Clothing, to increase the money generated by my publication, this
would make it more likely to be kept on as an ongoing project by
Future media.

Evaluation of Music Magazine Q.1
I have utilised many conventions of music magazines in my product. On the front cover of my magazine, some of the conventions I have stuck with are quite obvious. The masthead is written in a unique and easily identifiable font, and is also, like many other music magazines, behind the head of the main actor in the image, this is quite common in magazines.
